Øyafestivalen nominert til europeisk festivalpris

I dag er nominasjonslistene til European Festival Awards 2015 offentliggjort. Over 800.000 stemmer skal ha kommet inn fra 50 forskjellige europeiske nasjoner, og Øyafestivalen er nominert i kategorien for beste line up. Her skal de bryne seg på internasjonale gigantfestivaler som Glastonbury i Storbritannia, Primavera i Spania og Roskilde Festival i Danmark.

Ingen andre norske festivaler er nominert i år.

I kategorien for årets festivalheadliner finner vi sterke navn som Alt-J, Chemical Brothers, Florence + The Machine, Foo Fighters, Kendrick Lamar, Kylie Minogue, Marteria, Muse, Robbie Williams og The Prodigy - hvorav flere var innom norske festivaler i sommer.

Kate Tempest, Royal Blood, Run The Jewels, Wolf Alice og Years & Years er blant artistene som kan stikke av med prisen for årets nykommer.
